Bruker system was more appropriate to identify ...

2 types of bacteria

We compared two MALDI-TOF MS system (Shimadzu / SARAMIS and Bruker) to collect consecutive clinically significant anaerobic bacteria (n = 290). Bruker system was more valid identification to species level (67. 2% compared with 49. 0%), but also a misidentification (7. 9% compared with 1. 4%). The system database must be optimized to increase the detection level. However, MALDI-TOF MS in its present form, it seems, fast and inexpensive method to determine the most clinically important buy strattera anaerobic bacteria. .
